Smokehouse Spaghetti
Tasty, easy to make casserole is always a crowd pleaser. Serve with Texas toast and salad to make a great family meal. Freezes beautifully.

- 1 lb. spaghetti
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 12 strips bacon raw
- 1 med onion diced
- 1 med green pepper diced
- 14 oz. can mushrooms pieces and stems undrained
- 29 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 Tbsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp chipotle pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- salt and pepper
- 1 1/2 lb. colby jack cheese shredded
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Place hamburger, chopped bacon and onion in a 5 quart Dutch oven and cook on medium heat until meat is brown. Drain.
Return to pot and add green pepper, mushrooms, tomato sauce and spices. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add spaghetti and mix well.
Layer half the meat and spaghetti mixture into a greased 11 x 14 lasagna pan. Cover with half the cheese. Layer the remaining meat and spaghetti over the cheese. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven and cover with remaining cheese. Return to oven and bake, uncovered until cheese is melted.
